Anyone heard of May 21, 2011 as the day when God’s judgment will take place for all the unsaved and it is also the day of the rapture for those that are elected of God? Any Hmong out there heard of Family Radio or is a Family Radio listener? I wonder if there are any Hmong out there who are seriously checking the details out. Christ will not come as a thief in the night will He?

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Interesting... A few weeks ago my family heard something about this on the radio and asked me if I had heard of any group out there claiming May 21, 2001 as the day of Christ's return. It was new to me. The setting of dates for Christ's return, however, is not new. There have been a lot of dates strongly urged as the day of judgment over the past 200 years by various groups and "prophets." These dates may be based only on a claim of its revelation to a prophet or on new interpretations of Biblical images (the use of the number 666 to determine the day of judgment seems to be a favorite). Many of these dates have come and gone already.(Such as: Sept. 15, 1829; Oct. 22, 1844; 1874; 1914; 1975; June 28, 1981; June 21, 1982)
Jesus said of the day of His return, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matthew 24:36). He does say that we should be watching and ready for His return, however (Matthew 24:44-51). We are told that we may also recognize the season of His return (Matt. 24:33). (By the way, Daniel's prophecy in Daniel 12:4 is interesting: "many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." That does sound quite like our times.)
I have no confidence in the setting of dates for Christ's return. I view it as unscriptural. I do not believe that He intends for us to know the day. Yet, He does command us to be ready, so that when He comes He may find us faithfully doing His will.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
I recently came across your website and noticed that you are interested in hearing about May 21, 2011. I am familiar with Bethel Seminary, but not Hmong.
I attended and was quite active in Luthern Brethern Church in the late 90's, and so this is how I am familiar with Bethel Seminary. Everyone in the congregation was most interested in studying the Bible. Me too for many many years. I taught sunday school classes there for a number of years.
If you would be interested in the May 21, 2011 date, I am quite familiar with the this wonderful news right from the Bible.
God bless you in your service of the Savior

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Hi, thanks for your respond. If your family heard of Judgment Day on the radio, they must hear from one of Family Radio’s radio station. They have about 55 radio stations in the US and some short waves stations for international. The Biblical Timeline of History was discovered by Mr. Harold Camping of Family Radio by using the scriptures of the Bible as the source.
Family Radio has been teaching that the world will end beginning May 21, 2011 as the Day of Judgment which also coincide with the rapture for the elect and then the finally annihilation October 21, 2011.
I have been trying to follow along the details of how he came to this date, however I am a very slow learner and the language of the Bible is so difficult for me to understand so here are some of the very easy info that I was able to follow along.
1st info: In Geneses chapter 7 when the water flooded the world the Bible said that it came on the 17th day of the 2nd Month.
(Gen 7:11) In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
This date, the 17th day of the 2nd month is very interesting because on May 21, 2011 this is the exact date of the Hebrew calendar. You can test this out by going to the Hebrew date converter on the internet and type in May 21, 2011 on the Gregorian; it will convert what that very day would be in the Hebrew calendar.
Since the flood occurred on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the calendar of Noah’s day, would it also be possible that the world will too end on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Hebrew calendar? Since the Hebrew calendar was given to them by God, He must have a purpose and would it be this purpose?
2nd info: Before the flood, God told Noah to gather his family and all the animal into the ark, within 7 days the flood was going to occurred. (Gen. 7:4) In Gen. 7:4 I learned that there were two meaning to this verse. I think the first meaning was the physical literal meaning that in 7 days the flood was going to destroy the world which we all understood it did happen literally. But the second meaning to this verse was the spiritual meaning and not many of us were able to understand this. God is a spirit and therefore we needed to find the spiritual meaning to His spiritual words. (John 4:24, 6:63)
In Second Peter Chp. 3:8 God said “one day is with the lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day” Because God said in the Bible that “1 day with the lord as 1000 years and 1000 years as one day”, these two verses (Gen. 7:4 and 2 Pet. 3:8) can be compute together. So 1 day = 1000 years and God said in 7 days the world was going to be destroyed. The math; 1 day = 1000 years then 7 days = 7000 years.
According to Mr. Harold Camping’s Biblical timeline, he said that the flood occurred 4990 BC, I won’t go into the details how he came to this conclusion because it’s too complex but if someone is interested in the Biblical Timeline of History, check out Mr. Camping’s work and see for your self if he is at error or did he really found the Biblical timeline of the Bible. Some of the books are, “Adam When” “Time Has an End” “To God Be the Glory” Anyone can request these books from Family Radio and check it out, these books are sent out free, no charges what so ever and free shipping. www.familyradio.com
Anyhow, the flood occurred 4990 BC. If we go from 4990 BC to 2011 AD we get 7000 years. I understood that going from BC to AD there is no year zero, therefore we had to subtract 1.
So the math comes out; 4990 + 2011 - 1 = 7000 years exactly.
Because of this proof, Gen. 3:8 and 2 Pet. 3:8 agree together along with the year 2011.
There were 7 days remaining for Noah, his family and the animals to get into the ark before the destruction of the flood. We were given 7000 years to get into Christ before the destruction of the world. Wow, it fits and its from the Bible!
3rd info: When the Day of Judgment begin, May 21, 2011 which coincide with the Rapture for the elect, from that day on there would be a period of 5 months torment for the unsaved that are left behind on earth. The five months begin May 21, 2011 to October 21, 2011.
Rev. 9:5 speaks of the five months torment.(Rev 9:5) And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
Geneses 7 it also speaks about 5 months destruction on the earth. (Gen 7:24) And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
I believe the 150 days are actually a 5 month period because if we divide 150 days by 5 month = 30 days. Therefore, the calendar of Noah’s day would have been a 30 days per month.
The waters than begin to drop after 150 days, so here the water was used as a 5 month judgment on the earth. In our time there will be a 5 month judgment on the earth as well.
4th info: The date, October 21, 2011 is actually the day that the Hebrew Feast of Tabernacle end. I went back to the Hebrew date converter and I punch in October 21, 2011, I was very shocked to find that it is the 7 month of the Hebrew calendar the 23 day. The Bible does give many specific details about this feast, the feast of Tabernacles in many parts of the old Testament especially Numbers 29.
Beginning Numbers 29 it speaks about the 7 month feast, they were to observe it beginning from the 1st day of the 7 month. But I think the Feast of Ingather or the Feast of Tabernacles begins on the 15th day of the 7th month. (Num. 29:12.)
Numbers 29:12 God said they were to celebrate the feast on the 15th day of the month for 7 days. Number 29:12-36 laid out the dates for this feast very clearly. So beginning on the 15th day + 7 more days would land on the 22nd date of the 7 month but God also indicated an 8th day in which they were to have a solemn assembly. (Num. 29:35) If we include the 8th day, the date ends on the 23rd day of the 7th month which is the last day they celebrated the Feast of Tabernacle.
I hear them said that the Feast of Tabernacles points to a spiritual fulfillment that will occurred at the end of the world, I’m not sure what the spiritual fulfillment is. Anyhow, it is said that October 21, 2011 will be the day the earth will no longer exist. Everything would be destroyed completely along with the unsaved people.
5th Info: In the BiBle when God speaks of the Feast of Tabernacles he said that they were to celebrate it on the 7th month at the end of the year.
(Exo 23:16) And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
(Exo 34:22) And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.
But then, on the Jewish calendar the 7th month is not the end of the year, so can Mr. Camping’s diligent work of carefully searching the whole scriptures of the Bible be accurate?
The world will totally be destroyed on October 21, 2011 which is also the 7th month the 23rd day of the Feast of Tabernacles which God said it was to be held at the end of the year in which God means the end of the year of earth existence?
I have some of Mr. Camping's free books that details how it leads up to these dates, he really does use only just the scriptures of the Bible to piece the date out. I know that everybody keeps quoting from Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. But isn't Christ (the son) the Father?
To make this short, here are a few verses that tells us that Christ is the Father.
One of the apostle ask Christ to show them the father; (Joh 14:8) Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Christ respond: (Joh 14:9) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Isn’t Christ saying I am the father and you have been seeing me? Here is a verse that might help us understand Mark 13:32.
(Isa 45:15) Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

One quick note, if your interested in talking to Mr. Camping or listen to the end date discussion you can catch the Open Forum live through their website. Anyone can access their radio over the internet, it is live, M-F from 5;30pm -7pm here in California so if you live on the east coast, it'll begin at 8:30pm-11pm. I learned so much about the Bible through this live telephone call.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
The argument suggested above assumes a lot of things that may have no factual basis. It says that the Flood occurs at that exact time and that there is something called the "Hebrew calendar." These two things must be proved beyond a doubt. I highly doubt that anyone can prove these two things, because we don't have any good surviving evidence.
However, if you do believe the prophecy above, I ask you this question:
How would you feel if 2011 came and passed without the prophecy being fulfilled?
The reason I ask is because many people have prophesied the end of the world before, and ALL of them have been wrong. Do you want to live a lie for the next two years?

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
The date arrived through using the genealogy of Genesis chapter 5 and 11 as the base along with the chronologies of the Old Testament that lead to the birth of Christ, His death, to our present day. Because the Bible is the word of God Harold Camping trust the Bible wholehearted, he believed the Bible is accurate and trustful the Bible is its own evidence since Adam was created only a few days from creation.
................................................................................................ There is no denial of the many failed predictions of the end date in the past but those predictions were usually based on a vision, dream, or some sort of phenomenal that they believed they received from God. .................................................... Once the Bible was completed from Genesis to Revelation there is no more divine visitation of a dream, a vision and speaking in a tongue, Family Radio DO NOT believes in these kinds of activities, their reliable source to find God’s hidden message is the Bible....................................................................... There are many who had looked into the details of this date and agreed with the work that Harold Camping discovered regarding the Biblical timeline of history. I am not asking anyone to agree on this or to disagree but I am asking if there were Hmong out there who heard of Family Radio and the message of the end time. And if heard of this message, have they checked its details. Since I am incapable of mathematic I am sure there are many very intelligent Hmong out there who can check this out.
......................................................................................... .....I think Family Radio could be on the right track regarding Christ NOT coming as a thief in the night. Maybe we very much can know. Here are some points why I believe so that Christ very much may not come as a thief in the night.
......................................................................................... 1Th 5:1-3 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape
................................................................ 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 does say Christ will come as a thief in the night to those who believe there is peace and safety that we shouldn’t worry about His return; but then suddenly God’s Judgment comes as a shock upon them............................... The next 3 verses says;............................................................
1Th 5:4-6 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober................................................................. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-6 says that the day of God’s Judgment will not come as a surprised to those who are the children of light (true believers) because they were not the children of the night (the unsaved).............................................................. Another verse that we should make consideration;
.......................................................................................... Mat 24:37-39 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.......................... Now, the question to this verse is; in the days of Noah did the people not know the day of God’s Judgment?
....................................................................... Yes the people did know. Not only did they witness Noah building a huge 3 floor ark which took more than 7 days to complete but Noah was also a preacher of righteousness. (2 Peter2:5) The people knew Judgment Day was coming but they did not believe it until the flood water really took place buy by than it was too late because the door to salvation was already shut........................ If we read Mat 24:37-39 very carefully, the phrases “so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” also apply to our time of Judgment that, yes man can know when Judgment will take place because Noah knew. And yes there will be many who will go about their daily lives believing that Christ is coming as a thief in the night until destruction occurred but by then it too will also be too late because the door to salvation is already shut............................................................................... Christ is not coming as a thief in the night is a possibility!
........................................................................... ................... The Bible does tell us to watch but how do we watch? I used to thought, when the Bible tells us to watch that means I must make sure I am ready at all time making sure I am a good person and that I have been reading my Bible very day so that I have not forgotten God. Will I am sure most of all of us thought of this way too.........................................................................
But to my amazement, I took the advised of searching the whole Bible for the word “watch” I came upon the word “watchman” in Ezekiel chapter 33.
................................................................................. Beginning of Ezekiel 33 God tells us that there was to be a watchman. The job of the watchman was to watch for the timing of God bringing the sword upon the land. When he sees the sword coming, it is his job to blow the trumpet and warned the people that the sword (Judgment) is coming.
........................................................................................... In Ezekiel 33:7 God tells us the Biblical way to watch;.............
(Eze 33:7) "So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me." ................................... We are to watch from the things that we hear from God’s mouth and the only thing that we hear from God’s mouth today is the Bible. We are to watch for God’s returning through searching the scriptures.. I think this is the proper method that the Bible is warning us to watch.
................................................................. ............................We know that during Noah’s days Noah knew the day of destruction. We know that when Sodom and Gomorrah was going to be destroyed Abraham and Lot knew about it. We also know that when Nineveh was going to be destroyed Jonah knew about it. Would it also too possible that in our time, we can know the timing of Judgment Day?

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
petite, are you saying that we should take Genesis literally, but not 1 Thessalonians? Should we also not take the words of Jesus seriously in Matthew 24:36: "But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only"? It seems you take some verses literally, but others you reject. Is that being true to the Biblical text?
I'm not trying to prove you wrong. I want to be faithful to God's Word. I strongly believe that given the verses above, there is no way to predict a definite date for the end times. Why bother to find a specific date when the Bible clearly says it can't be found? Of course, we are called to preach the good news and bring as many people to Christ as possible before the end times, but it is not our responsibility to know the exact date.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
If we dont carefully search versess like Mark 13:32
"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." As well as Mathew and other places of the four gospel and just look at these versess alone, we will assume that Christ will not know and only God knows.
If we do a search on the word, "the son" satan is also refer as "the son” of perdition John 17:12, 2 thessaalonians 2:3, man also refer as "the son" as well as Christ, "the son" but in the context of Mathew and Mark, it is possible that "the son" is refering to satan.
If we seach the whole Bible carefully we all know that Christ is the Father. Christ is the Almighty and so is God therefore Christ knows the end from the beginning, Christ is the first and the last just as God is the first and the last.
Christ is the image of the invisible God, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."
(Col 1:15-17)
(1Ti 3:16) "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
Now here are some scriptures that tells us that God is the creator.
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. (Isa 45:21)
(Isa 48:12,13)
Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. (Isa 44:8)
Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: (Isa 42:5)
(Isa 40:28) Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
God is telling us that He is the creator, will so the Bible also tells us that Christ is the creator...therefore Christ is the Father. God is a God that hides Himself (Isaiah 45:15); there is no searching of his understanding.
An example;
(Joshua 5:13-14 ) And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
If we read this passage without being careful, we would think it was an angel or a man from God. But this "captain of the host from the LORD" was God Himself who appeared to Joshua. We know it was God because of the clue that Joshua worship Him.
Jesus says; we are to worship God and Him only. (Luke 4:8) However the scriptures tells us that during Christ days people came and worship Him and yet Christ had no problem with it. Math 14:33, Math. 28:17)
In Rev. 22:8,9 the apostle John fell down and worshiped the messenger which shown him many revelations, and the messenger's respond was; (Rev 22:9) See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
You see Christ had no problem with the people of His days worshipping Him. These are clues that we always passed not realizing that Christ is God.
Do you see how God carefully hides Himself???? Please also read the Old Testament there are soo many hiddend things like this that I begin to compare both Testament and understood why we are to check the "whole Bible" in a subject before come to a conclusion.
I take 1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 very seriously and rejected no scriptures. Please read 1 Thes. 5 very carefully as well as searching the phrase “the son” in Mark 13:32 whom might “the son” refer too because Christ is the Father.
May God's Mercy muab rau peb cov Hmoob thiab.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
You made some great arguments defending the divinity of Christ. I agree with you. My point was never that Christ wasn't divine. I believe that Jesus is fully God. He is also fully human. He can choose to know the date of the end of the world if he wants to. In this verse, he chose not to. He humbled himself, something Paul affirms in Philippians 2:5-7.
If he wasn't referring to himself in Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32, I'm not sure who else he could be referring to. It's a pretty big jump to go from Son to Satan. Does that mean every time Jesus, Paul, and other Biblical authors talk about the "Son," they are talking about Satan? Take John 3:35 for example:
"The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands."
Should this verse really mean, the Father loves Satan and has placed everything in his hands?
Maybe we don't have to look so far to find the answer. Let's look at the next verse after Matthew 24:36:
36 But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 37 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
I really don't think Jesus could be talking about anyone else other than himself. Why didn't he just say "Satan" if he really meant Satan? The whole chapter he makes no mention of Satan, why would he refer to Satan now using "Son." By the way, most of the time in the New Testament, Son refers to Jesus. I think the evidence is overwhelming that Son in this verse refers to Jesus, not Satan.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
We human are sinners since conceptions from the womb. (Psa 51:5, Psa 58:3-4)
Christ was indeed born as a human but there is something different about Him. He knew no sin nor commit a sin; He have no sin. (2 Co 5:21, 1 Pe 2:22, 1 Jn 3:5)
If Christ have no sin then He never ceased to be Holy God in the person of Jesus Christ, Whom is able to turn water into wine. If Christ was able to perform miracles, He is also able to prevent Himself from crucifixion. He also had the ability to be king, the people of His day did want to take Him by force to make Him King (John 6:15) but He was obedient because He was born for this reason.
If Christ was disobedient, indeed He would be robbing Himself, the scriptures wouldn’t be fulfilled. Christ never did cease to be God, if He never ceased to be Almighty God, than “Times are not hidden from the Almighty” and Christ is the Almighty. (Rev. 1:8) therefore He had no choice of not wanting to know the end when He is God who knows everything?
(Job 24:1) “Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?”
May I share this with you and many other else, in Mathew 24:36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no (man), no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
The word (man) is in italic text. In the King James Version, when a word is in italic that means in the original manuscript of the Bible that word do not exist. When the KJV translated the Bible it was put there to help the reader understand… somewhat like that. This website wont permit the italic text so I put a mark on the word (man).
You mention (Mathew 24:37) But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Now, as the days of Noah, did Noah not know the day of destructions (Judgment)? Noah did know, “so shall also the coming of the son of man be” for this present destruction, we like Noah can know.
I also like to mention Mark 13:32 “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
The word “Son” I do not think it is capitalize in the original Greek manuscript. Not just in this case but elsewhere through the Bible as well. I believe the translator thought “the son” refers to Christ and capitalize the "s". This is something that we all should be aware off… unless I am incorrect about this, you might want to check this out and let me know.
Most case, the phrase “the son” refers to Christ in the 4 gospel but that does not mean that every phrase ”the son” in the whole Bible refers to Christ. And just because “Son” is in caps does not necessarily refer to Christ unless the context permit.

We're getting a little philosophical here, but I'll say this again: Christ was also fully human. That's why he died on the cross. He really died. How do you explain the death of Christ if you insist that he must retain his God attributes at all times? An all-powerful God, in theory, should never die, but he did, because he humbled himself (Philippians 2:5-7).
The word (man) is in italic text. In the King James Version, when a word is in italic that means in the original manuscript of the Bible that word do not exist. When the KJV translated the Bible it was put there to help the reader understand… somewhat like that.
The word you're referring to in Greek is "oudeis", which means "no one" in English. The KJV is based on the compilation of the Greek text called Textus Receptus. Most modern translations are based on the Westcott-Hort compilation of the Greek text. After the KJV was translated, scholars discovered many more Greek manuscripts, which contain minor differences in verses such as this one. Most Biblical scholars today agree Westcott-Hort is closer to the original than Textus Receptus.
The word “Son” I do not think it is capitalize in the original Greek manuscript.
The decision to capitalize the "S" is made by a committee of Biblical scholars who have devoted their entire lives to studying the Bible in its original languages. I would not disagree with their decision quickly, neither should anyone else, unless they have learned the original languages themselves.
And just because “Son” is in caps does not necessarily refer to Christ unless the context permit.
But the context does permit, per my previous post. Verse 37 mentions Son of Man, which is a clear reference to Jesus.
Think back to the original topic: the end of the world on May 21, 2011. This theory claims to take the Bible literally, yet key verses like Matthew 24 and 1 Thessalonians 5 are NOT taken literally. This flawed logic alone discredits the theory, without going into all the theological discussion we got into.
It's been great debating this topic with you though. :)

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
I am responding to this post, not to be quarrelsome, but because I think the subject calls for discussion. I see the topic in this light: If people are told that we know from the infallible Scriptures that the return of Christ will take place on a certain day; and if that day comes and goes without Christ's return; the effect will be to cause many to think the Scriptures unreliable. Many will conclude either that the Scriptures were incorrect or that they are very difficult to understand. Therefore, if we say something on the authority of Scripture, even though we mean well, we must be very sure that we do not err.
I do not believe that it is possible for us to know the exact day of Christ's return, but there has already been much discussion about this. There are also, however, a number of objections in my mind on the methods used to arrive at May 11, 2001 as the day of Christ's return. I will attempt to set forward some of these objections as clearly as I can.
"Since the flood occurred on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the calendar of Noah’s day, would it also be possible that the world will too end on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Hebrew calendar?"
It would be possible, but the opposite is also possible. We must be very sure that we do not read in something that is not there, lest we be wrong and therefore be found false prophets if our predictions fail.
"Before the flood, God told Noah to gather his family and all the animal into the ark, within 7 days the flood was going to occurred. (Gen. 7:4)... But the second meaning to this verse was the spiritual meaning and not many of us were able to understand this."
I assume that by "spiritual," you mean "allegorical." Again, can we be certain, beyond all doubt, that the seven days have an allegorical meaning? Remember that if we build a false prophecy based on a well-intended, but incorrect, interpretation of Scripture, it will almost certainly put a stumbling-block in the way of sinners. Also remember that we will have to give an account to God for these things in the day of Judgment. Therefore, we must be absolutely certain that what we say in this regard is true.
"In Second Peter Chp. The math; 1 day = 1000 years then 7 days = 7000 years."
It seems to me that the most obvious and natural interpretation of this verse is that God is eternal and all time is open before Him. Are you certain that this verse is telling us that when the Scripture speaks of a day, it means literally 1,000 years? (Would not this also mean that the seven days of creation could have been 7,000 years?) Again, we need to be absolutely certain before we can base a prediction of the timing of the end of the world upon this passage.
"According to Mr. Harold Camping’s Biblical timeline, he said that the flood occurred 4990 BC, I won’t go into the details how he came to this conclusion because it’s too complex but if someone is interested in the Biblical Timeline of History, check out Mr. Camping’s work and see for your self if he is at error or did he really found the Biblical timeline of the Bible.... Anyhow, the flood occurred 4990 BC. If we go from 4990 BC to 2011 AD we get 7000 years."
OK, well, where does the figure 4990 B.C. come from? According to the widely used dates of the 17th century theologian James Ussher, the flood would have occurred around the year 2348 B.C. The calculation of this date would be complicated because the Bible does not give us information from which we could calculate the amount of time between Israel's return from the Babylonian captivity and the birth of Christ. In fact, the last book of the Old Testament is estimated to have been written about 400 years before Christ. Therefore, we would have to rely in some degree, more or less, on secular historical accounts to compute the date of the Genesis flood. Remember, we must be certain.
Something else that bears mentioning here: As I understand it, Mr. Camping's prediction also relies on the idea that Christ was crucified on April 1, A.D. 33. According to Ussher's research, however, Christ was not born in the year A.D. 1, but rather somewhere before 4 B.C., due to an error in the earlier computation of the Gregorian calendar. (Another way of looking at it would be that this year ought to be at least A.D. 2014.) As I understand it, this conclusion is based on historical evidence (at least in part from Josephus) which would, by our current Gregorian calendar, have placed the death of Herod (during whose reign Jesus was born) at 4 B.C. If this is so, Christ's death at 33 years of age would have been around A.D. 29 by the Gregorian calendar. (Thus, if these figures are correct, Camping should have predicted the return of Christ for 2007.) Of course, Ussher could have been wrong (and Josephus also could have been wrong, for that matter), but can you be absolutely certain?
I could keep going, but my question at each of your other points would be the same: Are you certain that the Scripture is telling us, in this passage, which day is the day of Judgment? (Although I don't believe that you are simply taking Mr. Camping's word that this is true, but rather that you are attempting to base your conclusion on the Bible; still keep in mind that this man has already one failed prediction. In 1992, he suggested that the world might end on September 6, 1994.)
I believe that we ought to warn people of the coming judgment for sin. The days are short. Even in the days of the apostles, we are told that Christ is coming quickly. Each day that passes brings us closer. Many things have come about which seem to indicate that Biblical prophecy is drawing toward its predicted close. Yet, even if death comes before the final judgment day, our time is short and uncertain. Therefore we ought to warn sinners and to prepare our own hearts as well. Yet, if we set dates for Christ's return, we must be certain that the message is from God. If we are wrong, we will be found false, turn sinners out of the way, and give occasion to the enemies of God to blaspheme.
I hope that my tone has not appeared harsh or skeptical. I just think it best to speak plainly. May the Lord direct us all as we seek to follow Him in truth and to build up each other in Him.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Please ask Family Radio to ALSO send you a copy of Mr. Camping's work of art, called "1994?". The won't. They have now removed it from their website. Mr. Camping predicted the rapture for October 1994, but put in a question mark because he couldn't 100% predict the day (he claimed 99.99%). Mr. Camping DID however say that he CERTAINLY knew the month and year. Because of Mr. Camping's predictions for 1994, many people quit their jobs, sold their belongings, and some even gave all their money to Harold Camping.
You can still get a copy of "1994?" from Amazon.com
Once you obtain all Mr. Camping's "tracts/books" you will see that he is a dangerous old man. I personally know people who are running up their credit cards, letting their mortgages go into default, and have given up any joy in "salvation". Mr. Camping teaches that nobody can call upon Christ to be saved. Camping teaches there is NOTHING we can do to be saved...we can only BEG FOR MERCY. Mr. Camping has eliminated the need for Christ, the Cross, and the Gospel. Mr. Camping instructs his followers to leave their churches, and follow Mr. Camping as their only source of "hearing".
Run for your life!! This is a doomsday cult, and a lot of people are going to get hurt when Camping's May 21, 2011 rapture doesn't materialize.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Petite:
I have followed your writings with great pleasure, being quite familiar with all of your scripture references and would quite humbly echo your sentiments, and rejoice with you in your understanding that the Day of the Lord, the rapture will indeed be on May 21, 2011. Unfortunately for many, they will not take the time to study the Bible in great depth, seeking to harmonize Scripture with Scripture. Of course we know that true believers love the Lord Jesus and His Word, the Bible and seek to be obey all that they read in the Bible. They know His voice and He Knows them.
In Ecclesiastes 8:5 we read that The wise will understand time and judgment.
"Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment."
And In Amos 3:7. we understand that God does not do anything without telling the prophets.
"Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."
In Daniel 12, we learned of the Little Book that Daniel was to seal up until the end. In Revelation 4 we understand that Jesus opens the seals. Read the whole chapter.
"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;"
Well, the seals are now open for our understanding. I am singing the song too!! These have been opened only recently giving understanding to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. If anyone does not have understanding, it might be a good idea to very humbly seek God to have Him give ears to hear and eyes to see (understand) the parables that Jesus (The Father also) speak. For we read this in Mark 4:33,34 and in Isaiah as well.
33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
We live in perilous times. This is not a time of Peace and Safety for all, but a time of famine of the understanding of the nature of these last days. Both the antichrist and the Lord Jesus are wielding the sword in these last days of great tribulation.
If anyone reading this chat is not at all understanding this, it would be a good time to start praying for mercy, that you would understand. In Daniel 12 we read
"And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked ( the "tares" )shall understand; but the wise ( "the wheat") shall understand."
I too am joining with you all to understand the nature of all these things in the Bible.
I would add, And Harold Camping would agree, DO NOT TRUST HAROLD, read the Bible for yourself, Deal with it. I too have had to deal with the facts in the Bible, yes all the dates too. I have taken the time to look deeply into these dates over the past almost twenty years. I find no fault in the way that they are determined. I also understand that over time God has "progressively" revealed these truths in our day so that we would know both the Day of Jesus Return and the Day of Judgment. The Bible is a two edged sword. we have to deal with this truth. There are some of us out here in the world of Faith that are in no way are connected with Family Radio, other than listening, who are understanding the same truths.
I believe that you will find Harold to be a helpful guide in your own search for truth. I personally thank the Lord for older believers in whom dwell much wisdom, who intimately are familiar with Greek and Hebrew who can guide. You will come to understand in your now short remaining lifetime, that God wrote the Bible in a very complex fashion so that only the true believers (wheat) would understand it with the Help of the Holy Spirit. ( ie ears to hear and eyes to see). If anyone is having trouble understanding all the parables in the Bible, the Book of Daniel and Revelation, start praying that maybe you can begin to see. This is what the parable of the blind man was about in John. Read the parable again, very humbly.
There is a warning here too. If anyone really understands the nature of these last days, he/she will enter into a time of mourning realizing the Day of Salvation is almost over and many he/she knows will most likely be lost forever, so you will want to warn them. "But blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted." You will spend more time in prayer, reorganize your priorities and really begin to understand that salvation is only in Christ for any true believer and not of anything that we know or do. So you will pray quite humbly for mercy begging God like the widow who wanted a loaf of bread, "Can I too be saved?' Can I have that loaf of bread, that manna, that Bread of Life, forgiveness of all my sins?" And maybe God will save me, you. It really is all up to the Lord Jesus who is saved..so trust Him and His Love, His Faith. ( not your own!!!)
The good news, is that with eyes to see and ears to see, The Bible in these last days can become very clear very quickly. Study to show thyself a workman not to be ashamed. There is no other book in the world so exciting, so alive, so wonderful in Truth. It is indeed an awesome love letter to those being saved. I frankly find that anything taking my time away from this study or talking about it is a distraction.
Fortunately, thankfully, I have very little in this world left anymore, after the real estate crash, to distract me. What good is anything you believe in if it does not affect your life and lifestyle? I have also thrown away some of the incorrect beliefs I had in my past too, One of which was that I could take any credit for my salvation, even my "own" belief or any prayers I have made.
So if anyone does not believe in everything written in the Bible, his/her life and eternal destiny will reflect that too. The world would say that it really does not matter what you believe, and if you are lazy ( careless, saying "peace and safety") it really does not matter if you are going into Hell, and missing the rapture. What really matters is whether your name is in the Book of Life. You might ask. "Am I a tare, a good christian church member, pastor, college student who looks like a believer, who Jesus "never knew"? There are some very scary passages in the Bible.
Jesus is coming like a thief on the Day of Judgment, and a "thief kills and destroys". I had to deal with these verses too, which meant for me a lot of sleepless nights.
The great news is that Today is the Day of Salvation
One more thing that I think you will begin to understand. On the last day, Christ will be glorified in the Salvation of the Wheat stored in the barn in safety, and in the burning of the tares ( those in the church who thought they were saved) and in judgment of the unsaved outside the church. The whole universe with all its principalities and powers will witness the culmination of the great demonstration of the AWESOME LOVE of GOD, The fulfillment of His Word (LOGOS) and the Salvation made possible by the Sacrifice of the Lord Jesus. He, the Lamb, will be glorified both in Salvation and Judgment.
Are you willing FOR HIM to spend a lot of time getting both messages out for His Glory, both the message of Salvation and Judgment. This is why in these last days we have a date from the Bible. It is not to prove who is right or wrong, who is a false prophet or not. It has to do with having the whole world witness on May 21, 2011, in the news, TV, Internet, whatever is still working, in the sky, about 200,000,000 true believers some who have died in the past, some alive now all getting new spiritual bodies for the world to witness. God knows who He is saving, we do not, not at all. But its not about us, its about His Glory. I am sorry that over many years I learned in my churches that I attended that salvation was about me as an individual. God was glorified in the Creation, in the Flood, in the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus and in will be again glorified in this last cosmic demonstration on the Day of the Lord. I want to be a part of that for Him now. The more people hear about it, the more might have ears to hear and be saved, the more will understand on that Day that God is indeed Loving and Holy. For salvation is by hearing The Lord Jesus, The Word of God, the Logos.
I am not part of any formal organization or Church, school, ministry, etc. Frankly, I have been living on a boat all winter while studying all this. But I am not the issue at all. I am not assembling a following at all. I just want to point people to The Bible, to Jesus.
I would encourage your readers also to look at www.the-latter-rain.com for further reference on this important topic. There really are some cool graphs there, time lines to help understanding the calendar of history. Read the "Little Book is Open." there. And get right into the Bible...Always read everything with the Bible open, Let the Holy Spirit bring verses you know to mind and seek to harmonize them all. Do all with much prayer, very humbly. If you can not make sense of something, check the Hebrew or the Greek. The translators did their work without the seven seals open and frankly did not know how to deal with some of the very complex language that God has used to hide things until the end. I am thinking of passages in Jude, Some in Peter, Ezekiel and Jeremiah, and of course Revelation.
This is like no other time in the History of the World, and we live in it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes..!!!!

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Anonymous:
I actually have a couple copies of the book 1994? It did have a question mark. If you are able get a copy of the book, you will understand that it did leave open the door for correction in understanding. The The Bible we learn in Timothy:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
Mr. Camping has publicly and humbly stated that he has been corrected on a number of points. Have you ever admitted that you had been corrected from the Bible on something that you had taught before? The Apostle Paul's understanding developed too. So did the Disciples. Look at Peter. You will learn on pages 494 and following that he did have thoughts that the Day of the Lord could very well be in 2011 after a 23 year tribulation period. But he felt that it would be cut short by 17 years, based on particular verse. This was indeed not the case, the tribulation is indeed a full 23 years, 8400 days. Since that time God has given us about 30 or so more proofs in the Bible that this is true. As the seals have come off the Little Book of Daniel since 1948, (more so in the past three to four years), when Israel once more became a physical nation in fulfillment of prophesy. Knowledge is increasing by the day. It is just incredible!!! The truth is flying off the pages, light everywhere. These are the most exciting days for understanding the Bible.
We don't toss out scientists as discoveries are made. We still learn from Moses, even though He did not have the entire picture. Jesus explained so much it to us, in such a complex way that the people of His day would understand it on Pentecost and that we would also in our day.
What is very interesting to me is the progressive revelation, from the Bible Alone, the process by which God has allowed the information relating to the end to be discovered/revealed, further validating the facts/dates in the Bible that we must harmonize with scriptures, even some that you have alluded to.
If you will understand something from someone who has lived for most of this time period, and who has been into prophesy for some 45 years, and who is in no way connected with Family Radio, It is further proof that what we are reading in these last days is true. Harold, did not start with a conclusion looking for a date or a plan to do so, He came up with the Dates from the Bible alone, and then in the last couple years he has been a clearing house through his position at Family Radio for many of us out there to whom God is showing things in His Word alone.
There would be no particular reason to republish 1994? even as scientific text books continually have new editions as knowledge increases at exponential rates, as Daniel said it would. To do so would be confusing. Who buys old encyclopedias. I actually treasure my copies, because it shows me the thought patterns leading to today's discoveries. It shows me Mr. Camping's humble and brilliant mind, still finite, still very human.
None of us start out with a complete picture of faith in life. We all have a journey of faith to walk. God is so patient. It takes years, a life time. Some of us have a good bit of gray hair. Some of this comes from working through a great many trials in this life of faith, working out our faith in "fear and trembling." as the Apostle Paul commands.
So It might be a wise thing for a young man like yourself, Anonymous, ( you do have a name?) to not be so quick to judge. And if you do, do it one verse at a time, after harmonizing it with the Hebrew Greek and all the other verses in the Bible.
I would encourage you to get involved with serious BIBLE STUDY, getting into the original languages. If you feel comfortable without the use of a guide like Mr Camping's Studies, you can start from scratch all on your own. Some of us are all part of sharing all that we are learning, its a dynamic thing, constantly being corrected, refined. We listen in to the open forums at 7:30 Central time each week night to see what else might be new or what understanding could be refined. He has held these forums for 50 years!!!!!. What other Bible teacher opens himself up to this kind of criticism of unscreened calls. The President of the US does not. I think this all calls for a bit of patience. I listen on the internet. www.familyradio.com
It could just be that your paradigm is off, and you really are not seeing Mr. Camping's heart, scholarship over the years. You have not been down His road.
He happens to have had a vast international radio network that has proclaimed the gospel for 50 years, now in 53 languages now. Actually, the ministry is not at all fly by night, actually one of the biggest of all media ministries, in the top five or so I think in terms of budget. To throw out a criticism is like throwing a bomb at Campus Crusade or Billy Graham in terms of stature. It is in no way a "cult". To throw a rock at it is like speaking out against Moody Bible Institute, also notably a conservative Christian institution known for training the finest of missionaries for centuries. You probably did not know this. I really hesitate to mention other organizations, but Family Radio shares very good company in Christendom, and in no way is a cult. Everything that they do is deserving of the utmost of respect, even if you disagree, they deserve a well thought out and studied hearing.
Once, God showed Harold these truths, he had no choice before God to not share them. The whole ministry had to go on the line. I believe, It has a very conservative board of directors that had to be convinced. We are all in this same position, so we use whatever means we can to do so not for ourselves, but for Jesus, because we love Him and want to Glorify Him. What better way to worship Him than to obey Him, to send forth the Gospel, to continue to SHARE all that we are learning. This is very unselfish. None of us are charging anything..We are not looking for members of anything.
Noah was a bit of prophet too, for 120 years, not knowing the Day of the Flood either, well, until 7 days before. He had know, He had to get the animals in!! Same with Lot. Lot had to know to leave Sodom. Same with the Israelites on passover night, Same here.. There are some folks still to be saved yet!!!!!... OK.. everybody get into the boat ( Christ). 2012 is well publicized. 2011 is out there too now. Yes there will be no 2012, the Mayans were right!!!
Certainly for the believer, The Day of the Lord, His coming, is what Christians have waited for almost 2,000 years, I do not in anyway know how this could be classified as Dooms Day, unless of course a person was living carelessly, thinking that Christ might be coming as a thief in the night. What Bride, waiting for her wedding day, thinks it is doomsday?. And today is still the Day of Salvation!!!! Great Joy, but only for those being saved of course. But those who are not being saved, are not believing any of this anyway. Why would they? Life on earth has continued now for 6,999 years now from the Flood, and many do not even believe that the flood happened, despite the fossil record. Life is Good :) for most...and they can not imagine it any other way, so this can continue for them for a year. BTW, What is the problem with repenting of sins, and asking for mercy?
I think maybe it might be time not to focus on the people being hurt by Truth. but time to focus on the people who are in great JOY in their salvation, who understand what they are being saved from. And lets focus on the Joy that Jesus is looking forward to when in He receives His Bride on May 21, 2011.
Isn't it wonderful that God has let us know.!!!! :)
You simply rearrange your plans to include getting a new spiritual body, and leaving all behind to be with Jesus, to look into His Face.
So the problem here is.this.... What do we do with the dates and the proofs of May 21, 2011. You can not deny that they come out of the genealogies, and historical accounts, that they are reconciled with several different time paths and mathematical proofs spanning different Biblical Books written over different time periods, all tied into archeology/ ancient history(only for added interest, for the Bible stands alone) The Flood is just the attention getter, a heavy clue. Do we just pick and choose what we believe in the Bible? If we do that, how do we decide as individuals what to throw out? We would quickly see that to do so is to deny that the Bible is God's Word that He has protected for all these years for us, for this coming Day. As an intellectual, you can not just ignore the data, for it indeed at this point, it even further proves that the Bible is the Word of God, word for word. I have done some study into the Torah and ( BIBLE CODE) and have found that indeed we do have the first five books letter for letter ( maybe nine letters in 304,805 letters with no spaces, in variation amongst texts) , just remarkable. Not one jot or tittle will pass away until all is fulfilled. I have looked into quantum mechanics and cryptology, and the chemistry of psychology on an atomic level and have a inkling "how" God actually "moves" in the hearts of men and His creation, the spiritual with the physical in His sovereign way. This is all mind boggling, awesome stuff.,, Yet the accuracy of His Word and the information that has now been revealed is the most fascinating.
So Anonymous. Frankly, I believe that this is to be a scholarly chat room and your comments frankly show that you have not read all of Mr. Camping's materials, nor do you understand them. You have not mentioned even one Bible verse in your critique of Mr. Camping's scholarship. I would encourage you to study all of this material for a couple months, and go to www.the-latter-rain.com as well to get a second opinion, Read the Gospels, again in much prayer, so that you understand ALL the parables. Earthly stories with spiritual meaning. Then read Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah and Jeremiah, Amos, Joel too. You might just wake up with a new paradigm one morning in a cold sweat.
Thanks for being open about all this, and for being courageous in your convictions to take part in a public chat room.
PS The BIBLE is really quite a complex book; it does not lend itself well to flannel graphs in children's sunday school programs. It is too terrifying!! There is a lot of killing, intrigue, love and passion, a lot of laws and penalties for failure to take heed. Indeed it too is a Love story between The Almighty and the people He is saving, but they are few. There is great cosmic war between Satan and God, In Heaven and on Earth, and some people get trampled in the vast spiritual battles. But some by God's mercy are saved by His Son the Lord Jesus to share His Glory at the end of time. We are in the last chapter of the Book written before the foundation of the world. It is being fulfilled before our very eyes. :)
The Lord richly bless you in your studies.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
CBR:
I liked the tone of your comments and you are clearly seeking truth. I have a couple clarifying comments to address your concerns.
1. We read that the Flood did indeed begin on the seventeenth day of the second month. This is also the day for Pentecost and for May 21, 2011. The dates of feasts are all determined by the lunar orbits, including Pentecost. The moon in the Bible represents the Law and in Genesis we learn that it is the time keeper for times and seasons. So you are correct..it is all tied in to the seventeen day of the second month. I could go into more detail about the moon and synchronization of calendars if you wish. The Flood ended exactly 5 months later.
2. Peter commands all believers "Do not forget this one thing". Why is that command in the Bible? This is a clew that seems to be very important in connection with the timing of the Day of Judgment. To my knowledge, no where else in the Bible are we commanded to remember some number. Then for further emphasis, the fact is doubled. ( Harmonize with Josephs dreams) It does not seem allegorical, but mathematical. This is from Peter, the Rock, who in vs 15, even grants Paul authority to speak on such matters. Creation was evenings and mornings, way different. Peter was with Jesus when he spoke of such things and no doubt had conferred with Paul. God had him write it in this way.
3. The tie in of the dating back to the Flood with the secular record is done at Solomon's death at 931 BC and the destruction of Babylon 586/87 BC. The Laying of the foundation of the temple was in 567 BC, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign. From there there are two independent time bridges in the Bible from David past the Period of the Judges to the crossing of the Jordan in 1407 BC and the Exodus in 1447 BC. 430 years prior takes you to 1877 BC when Jacob went into Egypt 215 years to Abraham entering Canaan. The dating is actually quite accurately done, well documented in Campings' literature on line. Also clearly at www.the-latter-rain.com.
4. Usher unfortunately did not have the seals off the Little Book for His scholarship. Many Young Earth scientists have had a problem with Ushers Dates. We now know that Creation occurred in 11013 BC. which fits with the C14 / C12 levels especially taking into consideration the Flood in 4990 BC and subsequent dividing of the continents in the days of Paleg. The Flood followed creation 6,000 years plus a 23 year tribulation period. see. www.the-latter-rain.com for C14 discussion. We really have had to do a lot of serious homework here. But it all locks in now. The crucifixion followed the Flood, add 5,000 years plus 23 years tribulation. The end of time is 13,000 years plus the 23 years tribulation which is a very spiritual time of testing, temptation, spiritual battle ending in 2011.
5. Harold's date for Christs Birth. 7 BC. a Jubilee year ties back to 1407 BC the first Jubilee, to John the Baptist and is in sync with Herod. Date for Crucifixion, April 1, 33 AD. ties into Daniels 70 weeks prophesies, at an age of around 38 years old. He has a booklet on this. " The seventy weeks of Daniel" The Greek in the Bible reads ( at "30 beginning" the translators added "of age" incorrectly. Harold explains this. Everything like this must be harmonized based on other scriptures in the original languages to find Truth.
We know that there are 365.2422 days in a year. So the timeline deals with leap years, and all the corrected years and days through the centuries. Then we found all, so many, the mathematical proofs in the Bible to and from key dates, May 21, 1988, September 7, 1994, May 21, 2011 and October 21, 2011, from 11013, 1877, 586, 7 BC . 33 AD. These proofs, all well documented, guaranty without any shadow of a doubt that the calendar of the history of world is absolutely accurate. And in so doing we ( I am including here all who actually see this) have more importantly discovered/ God proved again that the Bible its self is absolutely true. Well, it proves itself. We all knew it was true on faith in the Words of Jesus and the fulfillment of prophesies relating to Christ, But now that we KNOW that we have the true calendar, it blows the mind. It is like discovering DNA and mapping it. While scientists have been unlocking the key to life DNA( not the soul), Harold and others have been studying for years to get the calendar, to see if it could be done. Then very recently, God opened up the proofs, really only in the last two or three years, even some this year and they are still coming as God open our eyes. This confirmed the calendar, May 21, 1988, September 7, 1994 and the end dates of May 21, 2011 and October 21, 2011. When the proofs came in, along with an opening of the eyes to the language in Revelation, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, Jude, Peter, Thessalonians, and all the Gospels, it all ties together.
Without the proofs, we would not be able to be this certain.
And the proofs deal in days as well as years. So we even know the days are correct. Now we have to let the world know.
Your comments are in no way harsh, but are a good starting place in your own journey to truth. We all started there.
At this juncture, we have a choice. Do we believe these things in Bible? Or do we toss them out because they had not been discovered before. If we believe them, like Noah and Jonah took their orders, should we not proclaim them? Are we not even commanded to do so? In a way whole human race has this question to answer,
If we do not believe the Bible, we will simply discount them, not wanting to be accountable and liking our current lives.
If we believe the Bible, do we really? Like, does it impact our daily life and those around us. If we are in The Great Tribulation, as we apparently are, are there not specific commands to obey during this period? Do you not want to obey them and so you do not study this part of the Bible?
For me these are questions, that I had to wrestle with, still do.
But I want to do all that the Savior wants me to do and to be in Him. If we know the Earth is going to be incinerated in about a year, does this not affect daily life?

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
I still can't follow the argument. In my mind, the argument for judgment day goes something like this:
1. The Bible should be interpreted literally at all times, except when it supports .
2. No other tools outside the Bible should be used to interpret the Bible, except when they support .
3. The Bible warns against false prophets, but anyone who supports is not a false prophet, even when they have made false prophecies that did not come true.
4. People who disagree with are not reading the Bible correctly.
Like everyone who has posted, I also want to be faithful to God and to the Bible. May God judge us all righteously according to our witness.
If we know the Earth is going to be incinerated in about a year, does this not affect daily life?
This is really what it comes down to. My answer to the question is: absolutely not. Even if I knew that the Earth is going to be incinerated in about a year, it would not change how I live my life. Every day, I strive to love and obey God. Beyond this, I'm not sure what else I can do.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Hi Ntherr: Your comments are well taken. Actually there is nothing to argue about, I would hope that we all understand that the Bible is the Word of God, and so it is a spiritual book because He is Spirit. In I Corinthians 2:11-14 (KJV) we read how to interpret the Bible, harmonizing spiritual with spiritual.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Our only source book of Truth is the Bible. It interprets itself.
We need to study in great earnestness to come to Truth, for ourselves trusting no man, but taught by the Holy Spirit. In Isaiah 28: 90-10 we read:
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Yet God has written the Holy Bible in a very complicated way so that only those who are given eyes to see and ears to hear will understand it, for it is written parables. Matt 13:10-17 we read
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of E-sai'-as, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
So we see that it is very important that we pray, beg God for eyes to see an ears to hear. We know that salvation is by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Watch and Pray, Very humbly, beg for eyes to see and ears to hear that maybe you too can be saved.
The kingdom of God is within you, and it does not come by argument or persuasive words, but by the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ, for by Grace are you saved by the faith of Christ, not by any works at all. It is indeed the very rich gift of God. There is absolutely nothing you can do to be saved, It is indeed a glorious gift from God.
I hope this helps.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Rich, I must apologize, my previous post did not format correctly, so some parts were chopped off. Here, I will repost the first section of my previous post:
In my mind, the argument for judgment day goes something like this:
1. The Bible should be interpreted literally at all times, except when it supports May 21 Judgment Day.
2. No other tools outside the Bible should be used to interpret the Bible, except when they support May 21 Judgment Day.
3. The Bible warns against false prophets, but anyone who supports May 21 Judgment Day is not a false prophet, even when they have made false prophecies that did not come true.
4. People who disagree with May 21 Judgment Day are not reading the Bible correctly.
Yes, I agree that we need the Holy Spirit to help us understand God's Word. However, we have also been warned to test the spirits, in case a malicious spirit may be deceiving us:
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1, NIV

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Ntherr: Thanks for clarifying your understanding of the "argument." I think that if you very humbly studied with "eyes to see" and developed the calendar of History in the Bible and studied the entire Bible very carefully harmonizing all passages, you would probably understand the "argument" very differently. Unfortunately, critics (judges of prophets) do not have the luxury of waiting around to see if the Bible really does indicate that the Day of Judgment will begin on May 21, 2011. That would be kind of like having a heart operation on an airplane about to crash into the sea, to see if the doctor was competent to perform the operation.
I think you would agree that we have no more prophets, since the last Chapter of Revelation 22: 18.19 effectively states that there would be none(after 95 AD) So we do not need to waste time testing prophets. We do need to spend our time in the Bible, and sometimes Bible teachers can point us in the right direction. I think we would agree that the Bible is the final authority, and so we are called to just put in the time to study. Isn't it wonderful that we have just a little more than a year to do this task, to know one way or the other and to share God's great salvation to those being saved in our day.
May we share the Mind of Christ in these matters.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
To all Bible Students:
This is the step by step procedure that I have found helpful in confirming May 21, 2011.
1. Confirm the annual Calendar from the Bible, by looking at all the birth-dates, genealogies, dates of all events, and tie to our calendar that we use today. You will need to know that there are 365.2422 days in every year.
2. Confirm the actual dates (days) on the calendar associated with the Flood. the Exodus date, the crossing of the Jordan date, the dates of the Dedication of Solomon's Temple and His death. the date of Christ's Birth, Jesus Baptism, the date of the Cross and Pentecost, May 14/15, 1948. May 21, 1988, May 21, 2011 and October 21, 2011.
3. Work out all the mathematical proofs between all the calendar years to your own understanding and solemn appreciation. Work out all the daily proofs to your complete understanding. You have to deal with these in your head.
You can do all the above confirming what others have done, and you do not need spiritual understanding to read the verses and take notes on the charts. This process might take you a week. If you had to start from scratch, there is not enough time for you to do this complex study on your own anymore.
4. Pray for eyes to see and hears to hear, understand the meaning of the Jewish feast days. As you read the Scriptures below use your spiritual eyes to compare passage with passage, spiritual with spiritual, all the time seeking to harmonize. If you do not have spiritual eyes, stop here, you can go no further until you can understand parables, Jesus language. Beg for mercy.
5. Read Daniel and fit all his prophesies into the calendar. In Chapter 12 we read that only the wise will understand.
6. Now read the Gospels again with the Calendar in Mind.
7. Now read Paul's letters.
8. Now read Jude and Revelation, with your spiritual eyes
9. How read Ezekiel and Jeremiah, going back and forth to Isaiah, with your spiritual eyes.
10. Read Mathew, Mark and Luke again being sure that you understand all the parables with your spiritual eyes.
11. Read Acts, the rest of the New Testament.
12. Read all the minor prophets.
13. Read the Pentateuch and the rest of the Old Testament, paying attention to all the spiritual language and teaching from Historical events.
So at this point you have a calendar in hand and a deep understanding of the entire Bible. If you have done this seeking to understand the entire Bible and be obedient to all that you read, I believe that you will come to the Truth that the Day of the Lord and the Rapture will be on May 21, 2011.
Unless you have done this, you have not done your homework sufficiently to know that all of Scripture comes to this date.
You will notice that none of the information with two exceptions is directly from the Bible. The exception is the fact that there are 365.2422 days in a year. I feel OK that we can use this since God did say in Genesis that He provided the Sun and the Moon to be our timepieces. The other exception is the date that Israel, the fig tree, became a nation again. I feel OK with this because Jesus said we should look for it and it is a fulfillment of Rom 11:25. If you did not want to use this fact, you would not have a couple of the proofs relating to this date. This is no way, impacts the May 21, 2011 date.
Please understand that salvation is in no way tied to our being able to complete the above process. We humbly understand that all the work that provides for salvation for those being saved is all done by the Lord Jesus Christ, His work in shedding His blood for us in payment for our sins. To God be the Glory.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Anonymous,
Family Radio had always given their teaching materials free to those whom request, thousands of copies of the "1994?" book should already been read. Although I do not have this book Mr. Camping stated on the live Open Forum that in the book he mention the year 2011 might also be the date. If that statement was a lie I'm sure people would call disputing this matter.
"Once you obtain all Mr. Camping's "tracts/books" you will see that he is a dangerous old man."
Don't make false accusation when you haven't read anything. If you really have any of Family Radio's teaching materials you would of understood many of the things Mr. Camping talks about. I have some of Family Radio's teaching materials/books and found that Family Radio understood the message of the Bible.
-For example, salvation is 100% God's grace and not of our works.
KJV-R (Webster) Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
KJV-R (Webster) Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
KJV-R (Webster) Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
God's merciful grace saved an individual through faith (Christ faith Gal 2:16, Phil 3:9) not our faith that saved us because our faith is a work (1 Thess 1:3, 2 Thess 1:11) therefore we have no right to boast that I accepted the Lord and now I am a child of God or I made confession of faith or I got baptized and now I am saved. All the works of saving each individual (the elect) Christ made the enduring of God's wrath on behalf of His elect. Our believing in Christ is also a work;
KJV-R (Webster) John 6:29 ...This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
KJV-R (Webster) Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;
KJV-R (Webster) Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Camping is correct, there is nothing we can do to gain salvation. Why do you think the Bible says God is a merciful God? If salvation was base on our contribution of believing, our having faith, the good works that we do then God would be an unjust God, an unmerciful God. Can a 1 year old believe or have faith in Christ? Even a 5 year old wouldn't know how to have faith or understood the meaning.
If your going to argue and say, little children are innocent and pure, will the Bible says we were sinner since the womb.
KJV-R (Webster) Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
KJV-R (Webster) Psalms 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
By nature we are wicked in God's eyes unless God given us salvation than are we righteous in His eyes. From the womb we were conceived with sin. God is such a merciful God that there is nothing we can do to make contribution for salvation, otherwise God would be an unjust, unmerciful God to the infants, the mute and the mental that are incapable to accept Christ (doing a work). What a merciful God He is!!!!
Believing is not a base to obtain salvation, believing is a product after an individual got saved. Once a person becomes save than can he naturally come to believe in God. I always use the example of our love to our parents. We never chooses our parents nor did they chooses us as their child but we have a natural love for one another. The love that God looks for is this love but much greater than that. We seek God not for a gift in return but we seek God simply because we love Him and expect nothing in return. Usually people seek God for something in return but true love does not expect compensate. All we can do is put ourselves in the environment of the gospel and hoped that God might save us. When we find that we have a natural love for God, this is the evidence of salvation therefore the outward popular method of "I accepted the Lord in my heart" is a lie... our heart can never honestly, truly come to accept Christ unless God first makes our heart to naturally seek Him.
KJV-R (Webster) Psalms 65:4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
Like the Bible says;
KJV-R (Webster) 1 John 4:20 ...how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
KJV-R (Webster) Proverbs 20:9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
Lets be honest to ourselves! Please pull out all scriptures that deals with the subject of salvation and harmonize them.
-Family Radio also understood baptism correctly.
KJV-R (Webster) John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say to thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
We are to be born of water and spirit...
What is water?
It is the spiritual water, the water of the word;
KJV-R (Webster) Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
KJV-R (Webster) Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
KJV-R (Webster) Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Sanctify means to be wash or to be clean, it is the word of God that is pure water that we need to be baptized (wash) with... this is the true meaning of being born again (salvation).
What is spirit? Jesus says,
KJV-R (Webster) John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Again the word of the Bible are spiritual words, it is the word of God that quicken (save) an individual.
Physical water baptism was a parabolic demonstration that... as our body is dipped in physical water, the dirt on our forehead was washed away. God typify the word of God as water because as physical water wash the dirt off of our physical body, will we need the spiritual water to wash the sin of our heart. Physical water can never wash the sin of our heart, only spiritual word can wash the sin of our heart then we have a new heart, then we are now a new born again person. This is the real baptism of being born again of the spirit!
KJV-R (Webster) John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
KJV-R (Webster) Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
We human are born of flesh, to be born of spirit means to be born through the Holy Spirit which is also the word of God.
"Mr. Camping instructs his followers to leave their churches."
-Family Radio also understood who mystery Babylon the mother of all harlots of Revelation Chp. 17, 18; she really does represent all the local churches and congregation. Please take your time and search this out. The whole chapter of Revelation 17 talks about all her spiritual adultery (false gospel/man pleasing gospel). The whole chapter of Revelation 18 speaks about God's judgment upon her, she is also called the great city. Rev. 18:4 tells the true believer to come out of her.
KJV-R (Webster) Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Rev. 18:23 speaks about the light (Christ) shall shine no more in her, we know that Christ is the light. (John 8:12, John 9:5)
KJV-R (Webster) Revelation 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
If the light (Christ) is no more on the candle (local churches and congregation) then it is a dead church. We know that the candle represent the local churches and congregation. (Rev. 1:20)
KJV-R (Webster) Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
One of the clue that really helped me point out who mystery Babylon is was Rev. 17:3.
KJV-R (Webster) Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev. 17:3 tells us that this woman (Mystery Babylon) commited all her abomination in the wilderness. This verse pointed me back to the woman of Rev. chp. 12 because after she gave birth to the man child, she left to the wilderness.
KJV-R (Webster) Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
KJV-R (Webster) Revelation 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
We know that the woman of revelation chp. 12 represent the body of believers. Before she gave birth, she represented national Isreal (Old Testament believers). After she gave birth she flee to the wilderness a place where God had prepared for her, it is at the wilderness where she begin a new harvest of believers (New Testament Church). The Bible also says, she is going to be feed for 1,260 days... the other passage says, she will be nourished for a time and times and half a time from the face of the serpent. I don't know the meaning of these numbers or their purpose but isn't it obvious that if God is only going to nourished her for a limited of time from the serpent (Satan) wouldn't that number expired when her time is up???
I am so grateful for the ministry of Family Radio. It took me two years to finally understand who Mystery Babylon the great whore was. Please DO NOT BE OFFENSIVE of this but investigate this by searching who she is. I was so shocked when I finally tie Rev. 17:3 to the woman of Rev. chp. 12. I was so shocked and grieved that Mr. Camping is correct that there will come a time when God's judgment will come upon all the local churches and congregation of the world. Please investigate this matter!

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Rich Littauer,
Thanks for answering the questions this subject received. Please further share this details that maybe the Hmong people may acknowledge that the Lord will not come as a thief in the night and begin searching this out. I know if we honestly search for God, God promises they will find Him.
KJV-R (Webster) Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
KJV-R (Webster) Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
KJV-R (Webster) Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
KJV-R (Webster) Proverbs 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
KJV-R (Webster) Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
Regarding to your first comment post, the Hmong people is a group of people that lives in southeast Asia in the country of Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Cambodia, Thailand and China. The Hmong people is also known or called Miao. The majority of the Miao/Hmong or Hmong/Miao lives in southern China. The root of the Miao/Hmong begin in China, due to many wars with the Chinese in the late 1800's some of the Miao/Hmong begin to migrate south to the countries mention above.

CBR,
Thanks for being considerate. Please see Rich Littauer notes for some of your question if you have not done so. Instead of making quick judgment from false accusation I hope you, your family and those who are reading this subject will investigate this matter. The Bible is indeed very complex but God had given Mr. Camping many wisdom of the Bible to understand many of the things that we never heard of. Plz see the book "Biblical Calendar of History" on the Family Radio website, under literature online how Mr. Camping calculate the date from creation to the flood (4990 BC), it is only 18 or 19 page. Mr. Camping also have a book publish about 30 years ago called "Adam When", beginning from creation and stop at 4990 BC this book is more in-depth. Upon request Family Radio will send these and other materials free to those whom wants to search this matter.
http://www.familyradio.com/graphical/literature/frame/
Unlike the book "1994?" which Mr. Camping is unsure that it may or may not be Christ return but Mr. Camping is now saying Judgment Day is and will take place on May 21, 2011.
For those who had never heard of Family Radio, they are a non-profit ministry that depend on listeners support. Family Radio never aimed for popularity or target a group of peers. Mr. Camping had sold his business, mortgage just to help keep the ministry going, he also volunteer his time on the Open Forum for this 50 years. I've been a Family Radio listener for 4 years and all they do is aimed for Biblical accuracy, declare the Bible as it is and not a way to gain favorite. Family Radio an excellent example of a Christian radio station aught to be.

Petite:
Thank you for your comments, for the Bible study on our Salvation, just wonderful to know that all the work for our salvation is complete by the work of Christ alone on the Cross. You really did a nice job here.
I am more than happy to answer further questions from anyone on this topic. I am not connected with Family Radio, though I certainly am aware of teaching there. I have a copy of 1994 from those days, and 2011 is mentioned on page 494 and following. All the seals set in place in Daniel were not off then.
In these times it is so important that everyone wishing to be saved be repenting of all sins, and begging God that possibly they could have names written in the Book of Life, written before the foundation of the World. ( Rev 13: 8) Even Moses knew of this book in Exodus. 32: 31-33, Daniel also in Dan 12:1. Beg day and night for eyes to see and understand the parables in Scripture for Yeshua ( Word of God) spoke in parables and in parables He did not speak. As the Bereans, look deeply into the Scriptures to see that all this is true. And just maybe you can be saved. Acts 17:12
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Please feel free to ask questions here too.
The Lord Richly bless all who have had the privilege of reading this, and hearing this good news in the Day of Salvation. Heaven help those who are in the dark of night., The clouds are gathering in these perilous times. These are not days to be running around saying "Peace and Safety, He is coming as a thief in the night." Do not wait for the blood red moon when the day of salvation is over, and do not wait lest your heart become hard like Pharoh's and you be reserved today in chains ( bundled) for the Day of Judgment.
Heaven forbid anyone is more interested in being right, with a prideful heart and so not having spiritual eyes to see.. Watch and pray, with tears working out your salvation with fear and trembling, if you think you have all the answers on this issue.
We have wielded the two edged sword here.. Which side are you facing, the salvation on one side or blood red judgment on the other? You had better know, if you care. Not everyone does. Understanding this is not a matter of your intellect, it is a matter of God's Grace to whom He will for His own reasons. Remember, He is God and to Him be the Glory.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Jesus may return any moment but there's people who claim they know exactly when He'll be returning and the world will come to an end. One particular preacher was wrong back in the 90's saying that Jesus was going to come back during the 90's. I'm not going to name any name but I've heard this person say an exact date again for the second time. It's very dangerous claiming that you know when Jesus is coming back because you're in a sense trying to be God. Again, Jesus says this about the end times in Matthew 24:36-51
The Day and Hour Unknown
36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Beware of false prophets!
Many predictions on doom's day have come and gone. Let God do his work; don't pretend to know God's next move or predict it. Only imposters and light spirited folks confuse themselves and reverse roles with God.
God knows who care or not. God created us with a purpose; who we'll have haven or not, it's not to anyone to judge: that is God's role and His only. Don't worry about others; they all are God's children. The Almighty will take care of it.

Anonymous:
Let me ask you a few questions related to the scriptures you quoted above in an effort for you to look at what the Bible says a little more closely. To prod you along on your faith journey.
1. Do you really believe that anyone reading the Bible in great diligence is really trying to be like God or is that he just trying to rightly divide, understand Truth obeying a command to study, and to share encourage others on in the faith of Christ.
2. Do you believe that the Bible is really easy to understand?
3. Do you see scary passages in the Scriptures you quoted above? Are you really reading these carefully for yourself?
4. Do you understand that vs 36 is in the present tense and was valid during the entire church age, until the seals of Daniel 12 were removed?
5. Do you really think that the Son ( I assume you are referring to Son to be Jesus) did not know about the hour? Isn't Jesus God, with the name "Everlasting Father" from Isaiah 9?
If not Jesus who is the Son in the verse? Please answer me.
6. In the next couple verses about Noah...and the Flood.. Doesn't it say that it will be the same at the end? Doesn't this scare you because it says nobody knew about it, and they were all taken away.. ? But didn't Noah know? Noah was saved? Is Jesus not truthful here saying that no one knew and all were taken away? Just maybe in the way it is written we understand that "no one" really means no one could know until the the time near the end and then only a remnant would know. Isn't this the way the Bible is written sometimes? Jesus says referring to the Flood " that is the way it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. " Heaven help us if no one knows and all will be swept away. Are you concerned yet?
7. vs 42.. You are commanded to watch. How are you being obedient to this command? Do you have eyes to see, to be able to watch, or are you blind to all this? What happens if you do not watch, being disobedient... see Rev 3: 3. Do you believe the Bible that if you do not watch, He will come to you as s a thief? Did Jesus not say here, that if you do not watch you will not know the hour that He comes? Are you terrified, yet? Doesn't this verse contradict the above passage, or maybe not since it was written after. Are you watching?
8. vs 44. Again. are you watching? How can we know the exact day, because in the round world, it could be on May 20 or May 21, depending on where in the world we are..We do not know the hour of the day either for the same reason..do we? I think not.
9. vs 5o.. You have quoted vs 50 here teaching it to us.. What is the penalty for not expecting him or knowing the hour? Is it not weeping and gnashing of teeth? Are you willing to take the risk of not expecting him or being aware of the hour? If you are not watching ( in the Bible with spiritual eyes) what are you doing? Sleeping? Why are you seemingly telling others not to concern themselves with this matter? Doesn't God here command us to be concerned? Are you telling people to be disobedient? What is the penalty for someone causing little ones to stumble?
Look, i know these are tough questions...re the scriptures you quoted. Do you think the whole issue just might be a life and death issue for many, for everyone? Can you afford not to look into this as the Bereans did, in very deep Bible Study harmonizing all Scripture?
Now here are some questions for you on what you said:
11. What work of God are you referring to, to let Him do it?
12. How do you know that you are saved? Are you sure?
13. When you refer to imposters, are you referring to people that say that everything is OK.. peace peace ? ( I thes 5 1-7)
Are you referring to Satan, the master of Deceit?
14. How do you judge for yourself that you are saved and know the Truth?
15. What purpose are you created for, since you mention it?
16. You say, "Do not worry about others, they are all God's Children." Where do you read this in the Bible? Really? All saved? Really? Do you pray for your loved ones to be saved..do you mourn for them begging God that possibly they could be saved?
17. re "God will take care of it?".. What are you speaking of, "it"... salvation of the elect? Judgment of the unsaved masses?
You seem to be making broad generalizations here..are we each really sure of what we believe? Do we know God, Does He know us? Is your name written in the Book of Life? How do you know?
Do you understand the nature of the end times we live in?
Anonymous.. I am writing to you and to all who might think all this is trivial. Honestly, humbly I had to ask myself all these questions too.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
It appears that your address aims to reponding all at once to two different "anonymous". Anyhow, let's see:
With all things considered and all due respecrts, you really sound narrow minded and radical [just like the crusaders and the jihad]. You seem more confused than aware. In response to your questions:
#11: If you don't know what God's work is, don't even pretend know God. The worst thing a human can do is reverse role with God.
#12: To be saved or not, it's up to God, not to me or anyone else. God and God only is Judge, and God knows who cares and who does not. The only certainty is uncertainty, and yet I only worry about fulfilling my mission in life with righteousness, goodness, integrity, compassion.
#13: Imposters can be any and everyone who claims to speaking on behalf of and for God, but send the wrong message and thus, to creating misconception, intolerance, hatred. It is time to take responsibility, and not play the blame game to pointing the finger to 'Satan' for anything everything we do of our own free choice; Satan may tempts us, and yet we personally are responsible and accountable for our thinking, action, behavior.
#14: The TRUTH is and belongs to God, not yours not mine. God is universal, not for Christians, Jews, Muslims, or else.
#15: If you don't know for what purpose you're created for, just look for and find one with significance.
#16: God is omnipotent. God has created everything and all things; we are all creation of God. Let God do his Job and we do the one God has assigned to us.
#17: Pourquoi chercher midi a quatorze heures? It is explicit, isn't it in plain English?
Negativity always creates miseries. Turn to the source of light, and we won't see our own shadow. Don't belief with fear, but belief with conviction, righteousness, virtues, quality, loving kindness. Intolerance and narrow mind will always poison self and others.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
It all sounds like and and indeed is another blind radicalism. Be it known that God created us with a heart for love, and a mind for rationality; let's use them with responsibility and to the fullest extent of their purpose.
1. The Bible should be interpreted literally at all times, except when it supports May 21 Judgment Day.
-WRONG! The Bible should not be interpreted literally at all times and in its integral - there're many factors including historical, cultural, or else to be considered. It would be really dangerous and completely wrong to blindly believe textually any and everything as written. For instance, if we take literally as said in the Bible, the world and universe would be just about six melenium of age...which is WRONG.
2. No other tools outside the Bible should be used to interpret the Bible, except when they support May 21 Judgment Day.
-Non-sense! and ridiculous! Oh folks of little Faith, don't you dare to pretending know and predict God's next move.
3. The Bible warns against false prophets, but anyone who supports May 21 Judgment Day is not a false prophet, even when they have made false prophecies that did not come true.
-Absolutely ABSURD!!! A lie is a lie, there is no such 'lie a little bit'. Misleading is wrong and always wrong; making false prophecies is LYING, Misleading, and it is wrong: NO EXCUSE!
4. People who disagree with May 21 Judgment Day are not reading the Bible correctly.
-How many times in the past those kind of prophecies have taken place, and in some cases, with desastrous consequences including mass-suicide...and life still went on as usual until this day? Those false prophets are imposters. Believe in and Trust God, not those pathetic pretenders.
May 21st 2011 will come and go...God, as always, is in charge and in control. That's none of our business to predict what and when God's next move is; in another world, never ever do God's work...only do whatever God has assigned to us.

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Jesus clearly said that many will be making false claims.
If it does not jive with the Scriptures, it is a false claim, regardless of from where or whom you have heard it from.
Read your Bible from cover to cover so that you will know the truth. Start with the New Testament and then go back and read all of the Old Testament. That is the only way you will understand how everything fits together and how you will know that something is false when you hear it.

Saub hav nyom sawv coob kawg - cuag li nceb lwg qaib puv toj roob hauv pes...
At the dawning of May 22nd 2011, I want any and all [who try to and effectively predict God's next move] to reevaluate their faith. Indeed, each and every day may be our last and should be considered as such - live fully, be grateful and happy; should tomorrow never come, I would have fulfilled what I am destined to the very best I can.
Believe in God...is unwaveringly trusting Him - appreciate and enjoy any and every thing - contribute to the betterment of self, others, and the world without expectation of recognition or glory but the contentment and satisfaction that I've done my part:
I've used my time [on earth] wisely and fruitfully,
I've utilized my qualities to the fullest extent of my abilities for my own good and to benefit others,
I've relished my freedom and exercised my duties responsibly
to estonishing the wise and gain respect from the tough.
Now, as I've completed and gone beyond the checklist handed to me by the Almighty prior to my birth with excellence,
I can go in peace and make my report to my Creator.

May 21, 2011 - Judgment day?
May 21, 2011 is just around the corner! Test of fire? Test of time? - No! - now it's the test of faith!
To believe in God is to love God - trust God wholeheartedly (with no second guess, no speculation). May 21st 2011 will come and go just like another day with its challenges and its blessings; it will dawn with God's glory and radiance for you, for me, all living and non-living things.
To any and all who believe and expect that May 21, 2011 will be the judgment day, it will be indeed [for them]: the judgment day for and on their Faith. I hereby invited each and every one who has wrongfully distrusted God by ignorance, arrogance and or fear, to reevaluate their faith, at the very split second that switches to May 22, 2011, and repend from their doubts in God - change their mind, perception, belief with humility, confidence, love and care for God and with God.
May 22nd 2011 will dawn for you and me and the whole world to enjoying to the fullest, and to glorifying God. It will open up an opportunity for those of little faith to revive, renew and reaffirm their true Faith in God.

May 21 is approaching. I just want everyone who is promoting this "judgment day" to be aware of your actions. Last week, some Hmong in Vietnam participated in a protest with connections to what we are talking about here. I am still of the opinion that Family Radio and all who support this May 21 theology are misguided in their reading of the Bible. I have not seen any evidence to support this theology. All I see is random Bible verses (used out of context) combined with non-Biblical sources to justify an idea which the Bible itself clearly condemns.
What I am getting at in this post is that everyone who has promoted this judgment day bear partial responsibility for the suffering of our Hmong brothers and sisters in the protest in Vietnam.

Re: May 21, 2011 Judgment Day!?
Ladies and Gentlemen;
With the approaching of May 21, 2011, I can feel apprehention, anxiety, fear, doubts, turmoil brewing in the mind of some folks, and torture their gutts. Be aware of the psycho-soma relation and effect: whatever you believe can become reality for you - what dwells in the mind effects on the body - your state of mind determines your body to act up on whatever you foster and nurture - for the mind is the master and the body, the slave -
You are a child of God the Almighty - live up to that honor! Have confidence in God and in yourself - be rational, awake, prepared, with peace in your mind, and care in your heart - trust God, believe in God.
When comes May 22, 2011, don't be disappointed because you have been duped, misleaded to doubting God - but instead, take it as a good lesson to reshaping your faith and fate...and reconnect with God and God's creation [Nature which include humanity] wholeheartedly, compassionately with loving kindness, gratitude, humility and rationality. Never let a mistake to becoming an obstacle for self - a failure [now] is only and simply the opportunity [for us]to succeed more intelligently [at a later time].
To those of little faith who support and preach doomsday for May 21, 2011, I want you to know that God loves you, and yet He would not like and or approve your doubting in Him; furthermore, God would not appreciate and bless your spreading misleading speculations of last judgment day onto others to doubt.
Because you were and are so very fervently believing that doomsday will occur on May 21, 2011 - so be it - for your little faith in God; bury your doubt and distrust in God to embracing a new beginning with and for God with all your might and intelect capacity.
Pax vobis cum!

The Judgment Day May 21, 2011 warning campaign is world wide, it encourage no one to gather together! Actually Family Radio forbid such activities!!!
If you want to put the blame, your best to blame all the churches and congregations. They are the ones with the doctrines that the second coming of Christ, was that He was to reign 1000 years on earth in Jerusalem.
Family Radio do not take Revelation 20 literally as all the local churches and congregations. The Bible is a spiritual book and we are to seek for the spiritual meaning. They do not believe the second coming of Christ will be 1000 years reign on earth. They believe the second coming of Christ means Judgment Day!!! The beginning of the end of the world!
Family Radio forbid the teachings of Christ return to reign a 1000 years on earth!
If you want to blame, blame on the local churches and congregations and the theologians who spread the pre-mill, post-mill, amill doctrines telling everyone that Christ Himself will literally reign on earth in the second coming.

That's the test of Faith - for those who have invested time and energy to search for doomsday revelations in the Bible, and preach it with fear... this is the moment of truth - an opportunity to reevaluate their faith. Don't feel bad, stupid and or disappointed to seeing that May 21, 2011 will dawn radiantly and set normally - May 22nd 2011 will follow in a patern set forth by the Almighty who is in charge and in control as always from infinity through eternity - the end of time and space is to God's discretion and His only. It would be an opportunity for them to repenting from their doubt, light assumption and perversity complexe.
Failure is the opportunity to succeed more inteligently [at a later time] - do learn to be rational with values and integrity, have faith in God, with God and for God. God loves you all and have expectations for you.

Don't fail God! Don't fail your mission! God created truth, beauty, grace, qualities, intelligence...for you and I to enjoy, foster and nurture... why do we have to plunge in the darkness of uggliness, futility, sins, miseries...???
